What size mahjong mat do I need?
For a standard 34 inch folding card table, choose a 31.5 inch square mahjong mat. It covers the playing area and leaves about 1.25 inches of table on each side, so it lies flat without hanging over the edge. For smaller tables and for travel, choose a 20.9 inch mat.

Measure your table first
Measure the table top from edge to edge, not including any rim. A mat that is a little smaller than the top lies flat and stays clear of the edge where elbows and racks rest.

- Table top smaller than about 32 inches: the 31.5 inch mat reaches the edge, so pick the 20.9 inch mat

2 mm or 3 mm?
Our 31.5 inch mats come in 2 mm or 3 mm; the 20.9 inch travel mat comes in 2 mm. Both thicknesses have the same smooth polyester top and non-slip rubber backing. The 3 mm mat is simply the thicker option.
